The daisy loops came out of hacking, where they were used to connect to an embedded belay point, and their ergonomic design allowed free adjustment of the car's length. Nowadays, in addition to being used as a position lanyard, daisy lanyards often also serve the function of an additional climber. However, the user must remember that the nominal strength of the stitched eyelets is 2 kN, and thus they should not be dynamically or excessively loaded.
The nylon used in the production of the webbing is a durable and relatively soft material. It is very resistant to friction and the greater width than with Dyneema makes it easier to catch the loop in a crisis situation. Thanks to the possibility of seamless coloring, loops made of Nylon are visible from a distance, even in more difficult conditions.
The webbing meets all the current guidelines of the EN 566 standard. DMM's ISO 9001 and 3Sigma quality management systems implemented by DMM take care of the appropriate production parameters. Each piece is individually inspected several times during the entire production process, conforming to the high standards imposed by DMM.
