Falanx is a group of SKYLOTEC carabiners designed from the ground up. Created from the beginning with sport climbing in mind, they are characterized by very low weight (only 34 g per carabiner), attractive design and refined body shape. They will prove themselves both on the climbing wall, in the rocks and on the Tatra crags.

It is not without reason that the “wire” has become in recent years the most popular type of lock in carabiners, especially sport carabiners. It combines a lower weight than a full lock and resistance to freezing. It is also long-lasting and resistant to corrosion.
The expressions are based on 16 mm nylon webbing. The material used allows for trouble-free patenting, and the width of the tape allows for a secure grip in a crisis situation.
When designing the Falanx model a great deal of attention was paid to its shape. The result is an asymmetrical, D-shaped model with a wide, pointed bottom, thanks to which the carabiner “sits” well on the harness connector or on the webbing. What's more, the Falanx has been strongly stretched vertically, reducing the risk of the carabiner setting in the transverse axis, where it would have a much lower strength (8 kN compared to 24 kN longitudinally). At the same time, the carabiner remains easy to use, even while wearing gloves.
