The Fly is well balanced and comfortable to hold thanks its ergonomic rubber handle. The hand rests make it much easier to climb in steep terrain. The eyelets allow you to attach a leash if desired.

The aggressive pick is very strong and, like the aluminium shaft, is a type 2. The pick, hammer and adze easy to swap out in case the conditions call for it. The Fly performs extremely well in steep ice, but you can use an Alpine Pick for better self arrest performance.
