The lanyard is built on the basis of a 16 mm polyamide rope with a core construction. It allows the rope to be installed seamlessly on all kinds of masts and structures, withstanding both friction and work in the harshest conditions. At the end of the model, the manufacturer installed an aluminum FS 64 hook. It has a high clearance (64 mm), high strength (28 kN) and low weight (690 g). Operation is extremely simple and ergonomic, even with gloves. Importantly, the hook has European (EN 362), American (ANSI Z359) and Canadian (CSA Z259) certification.
The model comes in two variants, differing in cord length and being 1m and 1.8m respectively.
An ergonomically shaped locking device is responsible for holding the position properly. The locking cam, located in the center, is easy to adjust and securely stabilizes the lunge in a fixed position, not loosening under load. Grooves in the body make it easy to manipulate the blocker, even with gloves. The included Steel D TRI carabiner is responsible for clipping the blocker to the side clipping point. It features a three-action automatic lock and a high strength of 41 kN.
The ends of the cable have been properly stitched for maximum safety. In addition, the manufacturer decided to place them in a plastic sheath, which protects the fibers from friction and external factors. The covers are transparent, significantly facilitating inspection of the seams.
Each SKYLOTEC product has an individual serial number and the exact date of manufacture (month and year). Thanks to this solution, the annual revision of such a product is much easier. The label itself is well hidden from external factors and remains legible with the passage of time. In addition, all textile products by SKYLOTEC have a 10-year approval period from the date of manufacture. In doing so, it is important to remember to carry out regular visual and functional inspections in accordance with the instruction manual and local requirements.
The cable meets all the current guidelines of the European EN 358 standard, the American ANSI Z359 and the Canadian CSA Z259. Appropriate production parameters are taken care of by SKYLOTEC's ISO 9001 quality management system and proprietary solutions. Each piece is individually inspected several times throughout the production process, conforming to the high standards imposed by the manufacturer.
