The models in the BFD collection are a family of basic fall protection lanyards that comply with relevant industry standards. They are extremely easy to use and durable, and thanks to the multiplicity of versions, every user will be able to select the version that suits their needs.
A model with two arms, directly connected to the absorber. The lanyard comes in three versions, with lengths of 1m, 1.5m and 2m respectively.
In the variant with the code designation L-0103, SKYLOTEC used FS 90 aluminum hooks. They have a very high clearance of 60 mm - such a value guarantees that they can be used on most steel structures, trusses or power poles without any problems. At the same time, they are characterized by a high strength of 22 kN and low weight, equal to 480 g per piece. Operation is extremely simple and ergonomic, even when wearing gloves.
The lanyard's arms are built on 12 mm polyamide rope. Its color-coded braid, visible from a distance, not only increases work safety, but also facilitates annual inspection of the fiber condition.
The BFD Absorber is a design that ensures maximum safety during work and meets all current assumptions of relevant EN standards. The stitched, polyamide webbing rips, absorbing the energy created during a possible accident, protecting the life and health of the technician. The absorber itself is exceptionally small and lightweight (180 g), and has been stowed in an aesthetically pleasing, durable pouch. The lanyard supports loads of up to 100 kg.
All Skylotec lanyards have sewn-in fall indicators. These are simple and clear signs that show whether excessive forces have been applied to the lanyard. If such a situation has occurred, a special red tag inside the carrying bag breaks off, indicating that the piece in question must be withdrawn from further use. This solution significantly increases the safety of the technician.
