Scion is a representative of access ropes, finding well in both single and double rope techniques. The 24-strand jersey provides high resistance to dirt and friction, while the polyamide core efficiently absorbs energy. Together, they create a model with reduced stretch, good knotability and easy to control while working
With a diameter of 11.5 mm, it is extremely lightweight (89 g/m) and works with all the most popular instruments on the market. At the same time, it is durable and easy to manipulate.
The rope is composed of a blend of two materials. Braided polyester provides good strength and low stretch. It is characterized by high resistance to UV radiation and other weather conditions, such as humidity and salinity. It also handles friction very well. The nylon used for the core boasts high elasticity and good strength. Because of this, it is used for the production of components that need to absorb a large amount of energy.
The jersey of the rope was made of bright fibers, visible from a distance. Their contrast, combined with the braided arrangement, makes it easier to find and manipulate the rope when working in a tree or in low-light conditions.
The model comes in a number of color versions, making it possible to quickly distinguish ropes with different purposes during work. This increases not only convenience, but also work safety.
The rope meets all current requirements of the European standard EN 1891 A and also the American ANSI Z359. The high quality of the products is guaranteed not only by the ISO 9001 quality management system implemented by Sterling, but also by regular third-party audits. Each product is repeatedly inspected throughout the production process.
